Full Tilt Fever: You Wanna Piece of Phil Ivey?

It is often rumored that the highest stakes professional poker players sometimes exchange pieces of themselves in major tournaments. Many of us who haven’t the reputation or bankrolls to participate in such action often watch from the sidelines as those renowned pros play at final tables and wonder what that kind of money looks, smells, and feels like. That will surely happen when the November Nine play out the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event final table in Las Vegas in a few weeks, where Phil Ivey looks to take down the biggest tournament of his life. Full Tilt Poker wants its players to not only feel that excitement but take their own piece of Ivey as well.

The “Piece of Ivey” promotion just began and will continue until November 5, and it offers three ways to earn money while Phil Ivey prepares to take on the WSOP final table. To get started, there are three things to do immediately. First, download Full Tilt Poker and make that initial deposit. Second, use the bonus code “PKRWORKS” to cash in on a 100% bonus on that deposit while competing in the promotional games. Third, on the Cashier page, go to “My Promotions” and click on “Piece of Ivey.”

Now to complicate things a bit more, there are three ways to win. But the overall goal is simply to earn tickets. In ordinary ring games, players will earn five tickets for each Full Tilt Point accumulated. In tournaments or sit-n-goes with at least 30 players, each Full Tilt Point earns the player 20 tickets when he or she finishes in a paid position, though that number goes up to an additional 50 tickets if paid out at a final table. In tournaments or sit-n-goes with fewer than 30 players, with the exception of heads-up tournaments, finishing in the money earns the player five tickets.

Each morning at 10:00am Eastern Time, tickets will be tallied for the previous day’s play and entered into prize drawings. That is where the three levels of the promotion come in.

First, players with tickets will be entered into a drawing on Friday, November 6, and the nine players randomly selected will play in the “5% of Ivey” main event. The NLHE sit-n-go will pay out the top three finishers so that first place gets 3% of Ivey’s total WSOP final table winnings, and second and third places each win 1% of Ivey’s November prize money.

Second, players with tickets will be entered into another drawing on November 6, just days before Ivey plays the WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas. A total of 30,000 players will be allowed to play in this “1% of Ivey” NLHE tournament, and they will play for a $50,000 prize pool, the winner of which will also receive 1% of Ivey’s WSOP Main Event winnings.

Lastly, and the ultimate reason to play daily, there will be a daily cash draw. Each day from October 8 through November 4, daily random drawings will select 5 tickets for $100 awards, 25 tickets for $25 awards, 200 tickets for $10 awards, and 400 tickets for $5 awards. And on November 5, the daily drawing will distribute even more: 10 tickets will get $100 each, 50 tickets will get $25, 250 tickets will get $10, and 500 tickets will get $5. That is a total of more than $150K in free money to be handed out in the coming weeks.

To qualify to win your piece of Ivey, or at least pieces of Full Tilt Poker in daily drawings, download Full Tilt Poker now. Use that “PKRWORKS” bonus code to qualify for the 100% deposit bonus, as well as $500 weekly PokerWorks freerolls.
