Recently Ultimate Bet announced the kick-off of UltimateBet.de, a dedicated German language information portal. And with this comes an all new series of live poker tournaments to be hosted in Germany and the Czech Republic.

The inaugural live event on October 24th was hosted in Cologne, one of the oldest and most beautiful cities in Germany. The event was so exclusive that getting a seat in this first-time event was only available to Ultimate Bet players. Not only did this event debut with a low-limit buy-in of just 25 Euros, but the lucky winner drove home in a brand new Mercedes Smart Car, which is one of the most fuel-efficient and eco-friendly cars in the world.

The next big event will be held on November 11th, the city of Aulendorf, Germany. There will also be some amazing special prizes awarded in the second stop on the tournament series trail. Details of the special prizes have yet to be announced, but are rumored to include at least two free seats to the Ultimate Bet’s weekly $100,000 guaranteed tournament.

Ultimate Bet Poker paid attention when the growing number of poker players in Germany voiced their desire for live tournaments. And because they listened, Ultimate Bet Poker has scheduled live tournaments each weekend for the next few months. These tournaments will include a series of monthly $10,000 guaranteed tournaments scheduled to take place at the Casino Flamingo, located near the German border of the Czech Republic. By picking this locale, Ultimate Bet wants to make it easy for players from both countries to participate in the same event.

Ultimate Bet’s Marketing Manager for Germany, Stephan Reschke, said, “We want our German players to feel as welcomed and as much a part of the Ultimate Bet community as their North American poker peers, and our live events will help create familiarity with the UB brand and the company that we are today, with an emphasis on security, safety, and the welfare of our players.”

Ultimate Bet’s expansion into Germany with a string of land-based Texas Hold ‘em tournaments marks a first for German players, who now can look forward to special rewards geared just for them. And since the live tournaments in Germany will change locations and venues throughout the country, all German players should be able to attend at least one tournament.
