Since its inception in 1998, the Aussie Millions has become one of the largest poker events in the world.  In fact, the Aussie Millions Main Event is known as the biggest poker tournament in the Southern Hemisphere!  That’s because a whopping $6,810,000 was in the Main Event prize pool last year with Australian Stewart Scott taking the largest share of it at $2,000,000.

What’s great about the Aussie Millions is that it grows every year so many are expecting even more money in the 2010 Main Event prize pool!  And it is predicted that the winner of the Main Event will take home $2,500,000.  With the amount of money that will be involved in the 2010 Aussie Millions, it’s enough to make one want to grab $10,500 AUD and fly to Australia to play!

Of course not everyone has this kind of money lying around and the flight and hotel expenses don’t help matters much either.  Fortunately, those who want to play in the huge Aussie Millions Main Event can get in for much cheaper if they decide to go through SportsBook Poker.  That’s because SportsBook Poker is giving people the opportunity to win their way to Melbourne, Australia through $13,000 USD prize packages.

The $13k prize packages include pretty much everything you’d need at the Aussie Millions Main Event poker tournament including a 10 night stay at the Crown Promenade Hotel (January 22nd to February 1st), entry into a $50,000 Aussie Millions Freeroll, $1,500 for travel expenses, $10,500 AUD for the Main Event entry fee, and 2 parties including the Aussie Millions Welcome Party and the Aussie Millions Farewell Party.  The Main Event starts on January 24th so you’ll want to earn you prize package as quickly as possible.

If you are interested in the huge prize packages that SportsBook is giving away, then you should first download SportsBook Poker through PokerWorks.  By doing this you’ll not only be able to play in all of the Aussie Millions qualifiers and poker satellites, but you will also earn a 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000.  After you’ve signed up, then you can jump in the large variety of poker satellites and qualifiers that last until December 27th.

For those who want to skip right to the Aussie Millions $13k Final, they can buy into this for $321 every Sunday night at 8 pm.  Sundays also offer the Aussie Millions $13k Semi-Final at 4 pm which costs $60 to enter and offers seats into the Final.  The Open Satellite R&A happens daily and costs $13 to enter with one $13k Final seat being given out for every $321 that is paid in entry fees.  The Semi Qualifier SNG also happens daily and costs $10.50 to enter.  This qualifier provides a $13k Semi-Final seat for the first place finisher.

Some of the cheaper options include the daily Semi-Final Qualifer R&A ($3.30 to enter, daily) where one Semi-Final R&A seat will be given for every $60 in the prize pool, the Gold Chip R&A (10 GC to enter, Saturday 8pm) where the top 5 players advance to the $13k Final, the Semi Qualifier Gold Chip R&A (2 GC to enter, Sunday at 1pm and 10pm) where the top 10 advance to the $13k Semi-Final   All you have to do to find these tournaments is look in the SportsBook lobby after you’ve signed up through PokerWorks!
