Chili Poker sponsored the first ever World Poker Tour (WPT) Marrakech event and they are proud to report it was a major success! The action packed, three-day Main Event was one for the record books as Christophe Savary emerged as the first ever WPT winner on the African Continent. Savary bested a field of 416 players when they converged on the Casino de Marrakech to do battle in this historic WPT event. Playing at his first ever WPT tournament, the Frenchman took home €378,273 and the crown of the inaugural WPT Marrakech event champ.

Not only was the event well attended, it was well represented by the Chili Poker players who qualified online. The WPT events spanned eight days and when it came down to the Main Event; two players at the final table were players who won their seats in online qualifiers at Chili Poker.  Adrian Marin won €72,507 and Balazs Botond pocketed €34,606 and proved once again, the best way to get to a major WPT event is by playing at Chili Poker!

Other Chili Poker pros and online qualifier players also made a valiant run for the money including; Gwenael Gosch, William Ferrer, Astic Rémy and Gerard Rodriguez. Not to mention Chili Pokers own poker ambassador Liz Lieu who outlasted all the other ladies and a lot of the gents, and Tony G. who finished in the money.
