Power Hour at UB and Absolute Poker

Brick and mortar casino poker players have known for a long time that their time and efforts spent at the poker table create monetary value for the hosting casino.  The poker room may not glean a big profit from the players but the combination of poker and availability of the Sportsbook, slots, and the pit, make a big part of the casinos nut every month.  Joe-The-Live-One may not play slots but his wife or girlfriend may and while Joe occupies a seat in the poker room, his gal may be occupying a seat in another part of the casino; and Joe may have a downswing from hell that will send him to the pit trying to get even before he walks out the door.  The combined package of play is rewarded in casinos - in the form of free play, food comps, rooms, and more.

Online poker can duplicate some of the benefits that casinos offer their players, but not all.  Most online poker rooms offer Frequent Player Points - redeemable for gifts and tournament buy-ins, freerolls to cash, download bonuses, freerolls to big land based tournaments, and more, including massive action 24/7 with a wide choice of games and limits.

UB (Ultimate Bet) and Absolute Poker are ringing in a new way to reward their players with the Power Hour just before the madness of the Christmas rush begins.  Power Hour is not a Christmas gimmick or will it be a limited time offering that disappears in a month or so.  Power Hour is running at 1-4AM ET and 1-4PM ET.  You’ll be stacking up double points in both live game and tournaments when you play during those hours.  You won't have to track it or worry about, the points will be automatically awarded to your account as you play and the only decision you will have to make is how you want to spend them.

Power Hour started the 1st of December 2009, if you've already been playing during those hours, you will find the double points accumulated are beginning to really add up.  If you haven't already been playing, start now for the added bonus of doing what you wanted to do anyway - play poker!
