Poker and Pigskin Showdown Coming to Harrah’s New Orleans!

New Orleans is certainly the place to be next weekend! This is especially true for football fans who are poker players. The fourth annual Bayou Poker Classic is currently taking place at Harrah’s New Orleans, located near the famous French Quarter and within walking distance of the Louisiana Superdome. There are 22 poker tournaments on this year’s schedule, with total prize money expected to exceed more than $1 million. Study Shows Parents Often Ignore Underage Gambling Risks

The subject of underage gambling is often addressed by government officials and watchdog groups but acknowledged by most parents quite less often than previously thought. A new study shows that the dangers and growing trend of gambling among minors is something often ignored in lieu of concerns about sexual behavior and drug/alcohol usage but can lead to adult gambling problems if not addressed by parents earlier.
