Did you know that the most popular poker room on the planet is a record holder in the Guinness Book of World Records? Well they are, and it all started a year ago in December of 2008 when PokerStars set out to secure their spot in the Guinness World Record Book. They reached their goal when 35,000 poker players entered a special tournament which set the record for the most playing online poker at the same time at the same poker room.

Then in July of this year, they beat their own record when they had 65,000 players participate in another record breaking event during their ‘World Record Week’ promotion. And now, they are out to top their own record yet again.

This Sunday, December 27th at 14:45 EST PokerStars will host another Guinness World Record tournament which will be even bigger and with a more massive prize pool than before! What is sure to be the biggest online poker tournament in history will have a whopping $300,000 Guaranteed Prize pool, which is three times the size of the $100k prize pool awarded in the July 2008 event! And you can win some of that $300k for just one dollar!

And if you can’t afford the $1 buy-in, PokerStars is hosting a wide range of satellite qualifiers with buy-ins as low as ten cents ($0.10) or only five Frequent Player Points (FPPs)! You can easily find all of the satellite qualifiers that are running now until Sunday afternoon by going to the PokerStars lobby, looking in the ‘Tourney’ and ‘Special’ tabs. There you can choose your satellite or just register for the ‘World Record’ event shown in pink text (Tournament ID# 234567890) by paying the buy-in of only $1.00! But you better register right now, because seats are sure to fill up fast in this record setting event and there will be no late registration allowed!
