Full Tilt Fever: MiniFTOPS Wrapped and Awarded More Than $5.5 Million

It was a highly successful December run of the MiniFTOPS, as the series awarded $5,540,300 over the course of its 25 events. Every tournament in the popular online poker series found solid registration numbers that took each prize pool well over the guarantees set by Full Tilt Poker.

Though the series of low buy-in tournaments neglected to find mass support amongst many of its more well-known professional players, many of them did participate in addition to hosting events. But the lack of pro power allowed more amateur players to boost their end-of-year bankrolls and accrue some solid finishes and wins for their list of 2009 accomplishments. The MiniFTOPS served its purpose and produced stellar results in the process.

With that, let’s look at the results of the final five events, including the Main Event:

Event 21: $30 + $3 Razz, 6-max

Last finishing Full Tilt Pro: Allen Cunningham (859th place)

And lastly, the winner of the Tournament Leaderboard challenge was Str8Forward, a former FTOPS champion who garnered five cashes, including two final tables, which totaled 428 points. Str8Forward became the proud owner of a prize package that will give him/her entries into nearly every FTOPS XV tournament, which is estimated to be worth $7,500…and more if parlayed into cashes in the next FTOPS series.

The last MiniFTOPS of 2009 is now over, but look for another series to begin in early 2010. In order to be ready when the series is announced, sign up for your Full Tilt Poker account now.
