Where Are They Now – Jon Finkel

When you have written nearly 150 “Where Are They Now” profiles, expectedly some of them can start to run together. Don’t get me wrong, I still continue to enjoy writing about all the players that make up poker, and each individual still gives me a sense of wonderment about how their particular path took them to the top of the poker world. With Jon Finkel though, I can safely say that no profile that I have written before, nor do I believe one I will write in the future, will match the uniqueness of his story. Citizen Defendants Not Named by Kentucky in Pending Gaming Case

The case that began in 2008, courtesy of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, continues in limbo until the Supreme Court makes its ruling in a matter of weeks. And as both sides await a decision on the status of online domain names that the Commonwealth hoped to seize, the state could not seem to allow the court to simply render its final decision. The latest attempt to change the focus of the case came in December with the addition of more defendants, and more recently, the Commonwealth has denied a request to release the names of U.S. citizens named in the new motion.
