Splashing The Pot – “Durrrr Challenge” Continues, Cake Poker Returns T.J. Cloutier’s Bracelet, EPT and Aussie Millions

Durrrr Challenge Continues After Long Hiatus –In case you aren’t familiar with the challenge, here are some basics: Tom Dwan challenged anyone in the world to a heads-up game, playing Pot Limit Omaha or No Limit Hold’em. The match will consist of 50,000 hands, with each session having four tables being played at the same time. If Dwan wins by $1 dollar or more, all money won, plus a $500,000 side bet will become his. If Dwan loses, he owes his opponent a whopping $1.5 million dollars, plus all money lost over the course of the event. Read more

Online Poker Challenges - A Poker Blogger's Long, Cold Winter

It was a tough month for me in online poker.This is nothing new. Most of my months were tough last year. It was a tough year, in fact. And if I had not played live last year, I would have been in a big hole (for me, anyway, it's not like I'd have to sell the house or even pull any money out of our checking account).I have tried to take this bad streak in stride for several reasons.I'm playing well live and winning a lot of money both in tournaments and in ring games.
