The 2010 Irish Open will once again give players the opportunity to compete for a €3,000,000 prize pool, spend a week in the beautiful and historic city of Dublin, and play alongside the likes of poker pros like Dan Harrington, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Roland de Wolfe, and Andy Black.  Since the Irish Open is such a big event, you might be interested in checking out the satellites that SportsBook Poker is currently running for Europe’s oldest poker tournament.

The cheapest poker satellite is the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier R&A, and the buy-in for it is $3 + $0.30.  For every $27 that’s in the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier R&A, one person will move on to the Irish Open Semi-Final.  You can find these Irish Open Semi-Qualifier R&A poker tournaments by going to the SportsBook lobby and clicking on the “Satellite” button.  After choosing the Satellite option, you’ll be given a list of satellites that are currently running for all SportsBook events.

The Irish Open Semi-Qualifier R&A will be listed among these satellites along with all of the other qualifiers for the Irish Open.  This includes the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier, which is only $5 + $0.50 to enter.  Much like the Semi-Qualifier R&A, the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier will also advance one person for every $27 that is in the prize pool.  Both the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier and the Irish Open Semi-Qualifier R&A happen daily so you’ll be able to find them at any time.

For those who are looking to start out a little higher, the daily Irish Open Satellite is a great way to do this.  The Irish Open Satellite is $27 to enter, and one player will advance to the Irish Open Final for every $268 that’s in the prize pool.  Of course, you can skip all of the smaller satellites and go directly for the Irish Open Final.  The Irish Open Final features a $268 buy-in, and it takes place at 4 pm every Sunday.

One $7,500 Irish Open prize package will be given out in every Irish Open Final.  The $7,500 prize package includes the €3,500 Main Event buy-in, $1,700 in travel money, and a 5-night stay at the luxurious Burlington Hotel.

What’s great about these $7,500 prize packages is that you might not even have to spend any money to win one.  In fact, you can use your Gold Chips to buy into the Irish Open Final, or even buy yourself a direct seat into the Irish Open Main Event that takes place on April 2nd.  1,000 Gold Chips will get you into the Irish Open Final while the hefty sum of 21,000 Gold Chips will earn you a €3,500 Main Event seat.

If you’re wondering about Gold Chips, the Frequent Player Points you collect in ring games and poker tournaments will convert over to Gold Chips.  And the more Gold Chips you accumulate, the closer you’ll be to having enough to enter the Irish Open Final for free!

But before you can collect Gold Chips, and play in SportsBook satellites and qualifiers, and have a shot at those $7,500 Irish Open prize packages, you’ll need to download SportsBook Poker through PokerWorks.  By downloading SportsBook through PokerWorks, you will secure the 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000.  In addition to this, you’ll also be able to play in all of the amazing events that SportsBook showcases every week!
