Hawaii and Maryland Introduce Gambling Bills to State Legislatures

The idea is catching on. In the last several months of 2009 and the first of 2010, more and more states are considering gaming options as revenue streams for their states. Suddenly, ideological opposition to various topics related to gambling are falling by the wayside as states realize that their budgets depend on finding new sources of income, and gambling is a viable and profitable option. Delaware was the most recent and quickest state to act, creating a law to authorize table games in statewide casinos.It came to light on February 4 that Hawaii is ready to examine the issue. Poker Pundit - Jeremy “Chipsteela” Menard - More Action from the PCA

When I left off I had just finished day 1 of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure with around 50k in chips. There were a few questionable spots on the way to the end of the day that I may have been able to gamble to finish with even more chips, but after discussing the hands with some friends it was agreed that I chose the best options. Sadly these options didn’t leave me with more chips.There was one hand in particular worth noting near the end of the day where I flopped top pair-top kicker in a four way pot with A-Qo on a Q-T-6 flop with two spades. Foxwoods Poker Room Names Bernard Lee as Official Spokesperson

In a move that is somewhat unprecedented in the casino poker room business, Foxwoods Resort Casino announced that it inked a deal with poker pro Bernard Lee, who will now represent the establishment’s poker room via a sponsorship agreement. The World Poker Tour-branded poker room is one of the largest poker venues in the United States, and it is located in Mashantucket, Connecticut.As one of the first players to regularly patronize the Foxwoods casino in 1992, Lee has been a staunch supporter of the poker tournaments and cash games there for many years.
