Every year the top 65 college basketball teams earn the opportunity to play in the NCAA tournament.  And the tournament essentially kicks off March Madness where huge upsets and surprise victories create one of the most exciting sporting events in the world!

Now normally the NCAA tournament doesn’t start for a couple more weeks, but SportsBook Poker has decided to start the festivities early with their own March Madness event.  And this March Madness event is going to be paying out big money since SportsBook players have an opportunity to earn a share of $30,000 in cash along with free bets on NCAA games.

This promotion runs from March 1st to March 31st, and all you have to do to participate is earn Frequent Player Points at SportsBook.  To earn the FPP’s, you will need to play in ring games that are marked March Madness.  Finding these games is easy once you’re a member of SportsBook Poker.  To become a member, download the software through PokerWorks; this will you get the 100% deposit bonus up to $1,000.

Once you’ve downloaded SportsBook Poker, open up the lobby and click on the “Ring Games” button.  After clicking on Ring Games, make sure that the “Texas Hold’em” button is selected and begin scrolling down to find the listed “March Madness” games.  These tables are easy to find too because they are marked in green.

And there is a lot of variety offered as well since March Madness games are listed at stakes of $0.05/$0.10, $0.25/$0.50, $0.50/$1, $1/$2, $2/$4, $3/$6, $5/$10, $10/$20, $25/$50, $30/$60, and $50/$100.  So no matter what limit you normally play, you’re almost guaranteed to find your game among the March Madness tables.

Once you find your desired game, you will need to earn a specified amount of FPP’s between March 1st and March 31st to be in line for the prizes.  If you’re able to earn between 100 and 499 FPP’s, you will receive an invitation to play in the $5,000 March Madness Final.  Those who earn between 500 and 999 Frequent Player Points will get into the $10,000 March Madness Final.  And anybody who gets 1,000 FPP’s or more will receive an invitation to play in the $15,000 March Madness Final.  All of these poker freerolls happen on April 4th.

But poker freeroll invitations aren’t the only thing that you have a chance to get in this promo since free bets are also being given out.  From March 8th to March 15th, the amount of Frequent Player Points you earn will determine the size of your free bet.  100 to 499 FPP’s during this period will earn you a free $5 bet, 500 to 999 FPP’s will get you a $10 bet, and 1,000 FPP’s or more will get you a free $15 wager.

To check out how many points you have for this promotion, click on the “My Account” button.  After you’ve done this, you can go to the “March Madness points this period” text at the bottom of the section to find out how many FPP’s you’ve earned.
