Full Tilt Fever: MiniFTOPS Running Now Through March 21

Many online poker players watch tournament series like the Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) go by without being able to participate, usually due to bankroll limitations. Sure, there are satellites to allow players to win seats at a fraction of the cost, but many people miss those opportunities or win entries into only one or two events. The majority of the series passes them by. That is why Full Tilt Poker offers the MiniFTOPS.

It is a unique series that mimics the FTOPS with the tournament schedule but each of the MiniFTOPS buy-ins are set at 1/10th of those for the main series. That allows players to get in on the excitement for as little as $10 or $20, but it also means that satellites for the tournaments start at less than $1 or even just points. Players with the smallest of bankrolls can take their chances in the MiniFTOPS and put their skills to the test for some of the $6 million-plus guaranteed prize money to be found in the 27 events.

And just like at FTOPS time, MiniFTOPS offers some of the same bonus challenges. The MiniFTOPS Leaderboard challenge will allow the player with the most points from the grand total of events to win a prize package worth about $8,500 that includes entries to nearly every FTOPS XVI event to be held in the spring. There are also four other challenges, one being the Satellite Seat Challenge that awards seats into freerolls based on the number of satellites a player wins into any particular MiniFTOPS events. Other promotions include the Survivor Challenge, Hold’em Challenge, and Double Up Challenge, all of which track your play during MiniFTOPS tournaments and award points and freeroll seats - for events to be held at a later date - based on completing tasks and lists of challenges. All of these events are great ways to add excitement and extra money to your MiniFTOPS experience.

Of course, there are prizes in each MiniFTOPS event as well. In addition to the prize money at stake, each player who makes a final table wins a limited-edition MiniFTOPS jacket, and the winner will receive, in addition to that jacket, a silver MiniFTOPS jersey. And did we mention a cumulative $6 million in guarantees? Probably, but it deserves a second mention.

The first thing to do to get started is sign up for an account on Full Tilt Poker  and use the bonus code “FTRAKEBACK27.” The use of that code will allow you to receive 27 percent of your rake back through regular play on the site, even during all of the MiniFTOPS events and satellites.

The second thing is to check out the schedule below and start seeking out satellites - or buy in directly - to events that suit your skills and preferences. There are plenty to choose from…
