Join the Poker Revolution - Play Aces

Share this has been a leader in the online gaming industry since opening their doors in 1996 and was named the “Best U.S. Sports Book” by eGaming Review in both 2005 and 2006. SportsBook is well known for setting records, from largest turnover to most active users and highest number of bets made—at the rate of fifteen bets per second. And when it comes to fame, SportsBook has been talked of on CBS’s 60 Minutes, ESPN, CNN, and written about in the Wall Street Journal. And now SportsBook is raising the bar in the online poker world for overall experience with its new and improved Poker Room—Play Aces.

You’ll know from the moment you enter the Lobby that Play Aces isn’t your ordinary run-of-the-mill poker room. The new and improved software offers superb functionality, colorful and eye-catching graphics, quick response time and advanced functions. That may be because it was designed by actual poker players whose goal was to make it the way players have always wanted online poker to work and feel.

From the Lobby, you’ll find navigation simple and easy via clearly displayed tabs, which allow you to quickly find your favorite games. When you’re in a rush, the Quick Start feature at Play Aces will get you into the action in a flash. Just go to the ‘Quick Start’ box with 4 drop down menus on the left hand side of the lobby when you log in. Then make your selections from Game Type, Table Type, Stakes and Minimum Players at Table. Once done, click on Play Now and you will be taken straight to a table that meets your exact requirements.

Play Aces offers a great variety of ring games, including Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, 7-Card Stud, 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo, 5-Card Stud, Razz, 5-card Draw, Triple Draw, Badugi and several mixed games. In other words—there are a lot of options to choose from! And since Play Aces has a feature that allows you to “grade” your opponents using different colors, you can see at a glance if the players in a game you want to join are tough or easy. You can also keep notes on all of your opponents using the Player Tag feature.

If you prefer tournaments, Play Aces has one of the largest selections online. Choose from Multi-table, Sit n Go, Bounty and Heads-up tournaments in various Freeze-out, Re-buy and Shoot-out formats with buy-ins to suit every bankroll. There are plenty of tournaments that cost nothing to enter, including the monthly $100,000 freeroll, and over $5 million in guaranteed prize pools every month. Play Aces also offers satellite tournaments to gain entry into much bigger events, like the upcoming 2010 WSOP.

When you win a major tournament or a special event at Play Aces you’ll receive a special accolade unique to the event. These accolades usually take the form of customized ribbons or trophies that will appear in your player box for everyone to see. Also, when you play in cash game tables or in real money tournaments you’ll earn VIP points, which you can then use towards merchandise in the Rewards store, for entry into tournament, or cold hard cash.

But you’ll find many features at Play Aces that just aren’t available in any other online poker room, including the Deal it Twice, Rabbit Hunting and Expose a Card features. Deal It Twice, sometimes seen on TV in high stakes cash games where pros try to reduce their risk of losing a huge pot, gives two players the option to deal the turn and river community cards two times. Deal It Twice is entirely optional and both players in a hand must agree to it, otherwise the hand will play out as normal. The Deal It Twice option is only available on certain real money NL Holdem ring games at specific stakes and is only offered after two players have pushed all-in pre-flop or post-flop.

Rabbit Hunting is an option you can choose if you win a hand before all cards have been dealt but still wonder what could have happened had the hand played out. After you win a hand click on the ‘Rabbit Hunt’ checkbox and the remaining flop/turn/river will be dealt out. There’s just one catch—your hole cards will be shown to everyone else at the table.

Expose a card allows you to show one or both of your hole cards after you lay your hand down. For example, say you had top pair but a weak kicker and you couldn’t call a big bet. You might show your high card to prove you weren’t on a complete bluff, or you might show your low card to appear as if your were on a complete steal. Either way, showing only 1 card generally leaves your opponent guessing and asking more questions than the card you showed gave answers to.

Another great new feature at Play Aces you’re bound to get a kick out of is the animated player avatars whose hands sit on the table in front of them when they are playing and on their lap or by their side if they have folded.

The Play Aces software offers many more new and improved features—too many to explain here. You just need to see and experience them for yourself. It’s really easy to get started. Simply download Play Aces and create an account. All new players are welcomed with a 100% First Deposit Bonus up to $650. This deposit bonus is for poker only and can only be earned out through the poker room. Along with your bonus money, you’ll also receive a tournament seat that allows you to play in one of Play Aces’ weekly ‘Welcome Freeroll’ tournaments that features a $500 prize pool. These freeroll tournaments run every Wednesday and can be found in the Special tab under Scheduled tournaments.

Whether you are a new player looking for an exciting place to play or a seasoned player looking for a fresh change of pace, now is the time to discover Play Aces!
