Full Tilt Fever: Last Chances to Score Big in Current MiniFTOPS

The entire online poker world is aware that the MiniFTOPS is currently running at Full Tilt Poker. It’s the best opportunity for players without the biggest of bankrolls to play their favorite online poker tournaments at only one-tenth the price of regular FTOPS. The only question is: Are you playing?

Full Tilt Poker couldn’t be more abuzz these days. The Full Tilt Online Poker Series XVI just wrapped with its Main Event on May 2, and the final numbers from the series were phenomenal. All in all, over $18 million in prize money was awarded to players competing in the 30 events, and some of the biggest names in poker competed. Some of the big names walking away with FTOPS titles were Jon “apestyles” Van Fleet, JC “PrtyPsux” Alvarado, and Shannon “BLUFFforRENT” Shorr, many in the amateur or part-time player categories took down their very first big tournament titles. In the end, the $3 million guarantee Main Event, hosted by newly-crowned Team Full Tilt member Annette Obrestad, wound up with 4,534 players and awarded the $327,057 first place prize to winner Kirbynator.

Just days later, MiniFTOPS got underway on Full Tilt, which offered the exact same lineup as the FTOPS - 30 events with everything from NLHE to PLO - but at one-tenth of the cost. The series allows players of all bankrolls to compete. Want to play a $10 PLO rebuy tournament with the likes of many of the Full Tilt pros? Care to participate in the $24 no-limit holdem knockout short-handed event? The options are diverse and aplenty.

For those struggling to come up with those buy-ins, there are satellites running around the clock on Full Tilt Poker to allow players to enter MiniFTOPS events at only a fraction of the entry fees. Many satellites and qualifiers start as low as $.50 or 50 Full Tilt Points. And the money up for grabs in the tournaments could change that small bankroll forever!

The events end this weekend, but the rest of the week offers numerous opportunities to take part in MiniFTOPS. And by getting started now - it’s not too late, by the way - there are days remaining to prepare for the big Main Event, which will be hosted by Team Full Tilt member Erick Lindgren. The $70 + $5 NLHE tournament starts on Sunday, May 16, at 5pm ET and boasts of a whopping $1 million guarantee. A piece of that pie will do wonders for any poker player’s confidence and bankroll.

All it takes is an online poker account. Download Full Tilt Poker to get started, and don’t forget to use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” when making that first deposit, as a 100% bonus can be earned through regular site play.

Then go to the tournament lobby and look for satellites and qualifiers under the MiniFTOPS category, as there are many of them at every buy-in and all times of the day or night. Qualifying for a MiniFTOPS event is common, and it gives the chance to play for quite the sizeable prize pools while competing against some of the best players in the game. Think you have what it takes? You’ll never know unless you log on and find out!
