Full Tilt Fever: Full Tilt Poker Academy Main Event Challenge

It is as good as it sounds. Joining the Full Tilt Poker Academy is free, as is getting poker lessons from some of the absolute best players in the world. And members of the Academy can then enter freerolls on Full Tilt Poker to win a $12,000 World Series of Poker Main Event prize package. All of this for the mere investment of time into improving your poker game? Of course!

It’s easy to get started. The first thing to do is download Full Tilt Poker and sign up for a new account. By using the bonus code “POKERWORKS” when making your first deposit, you can earn 100% back on any amount up to $600 through regular site play.

Second, visit the Full Tilt website and follow the link to the Full Tilt Poker Academy. Sign up for free, then take a look around the site. The poker software is set up for easy use and offers training 24 hours a day. Tutorial videos are available for cash games, sit n go tournaments, and multi-table tournaments, in all of the variations of poker you could hope for - no-limit holdem, pot-limit and fixed-limit holdem, Omaha, stud, razz, and mixed game formats. Lessons take you through the tutorials and invite you to play in challenges to test your new knowledge, participate in quizzes, and check out daily podcasts that can be downloaded to iTunes. For soaking up the information and doing well in the challenges and quizzes, the Academy offers rewards in the form of credits and online tournament entries.

Third, take what you’ve learned and head back to the real money tables at Full Tilt Poker where you’ll find freerolls to win your Main Event seat. In the standard lobby view, look under the tournament section, series section, and all freerolls. The Academy Challenge Freerolls are listed in orange.

The plan is simple. There are freerolls running now that will continue to Sunday, June 20. By finishing in the top 100 of a daily Round 1 freeroll, which is entered by completing any Sit-N-Learn at the Academy, you’ll receive a Round 2 freeroll ticket. Also, players can complete any Academy Challenge to receive that Round 2 freeroll ticket. Winning a Round 2 freeroll advances you to the Challenge Final on Sunday, June 20 at 3:00pm ET. The winner will receive a prize package that includes a one-on-one teaching session with a member of Team Full Tilt, the $10,000 entry to the WSOP Main Event, and $2,000 for transportation, accommodations, and expenses.

The worst that can happen is you’ll become a better poker player by learning from pros like Chris Ferguson, Andy Bloch, and Howard Lederer. The best that can happen is that you can take that knowledge right to the WSOP this summer and play the most prestigious tournament in all of poker.
