High-Stakes Poker Action with Daniel Negreanu Now Offered at PokerStars

High-stakes online poker players who crave the action of big games and big names will want to check out the all-new online poker gaming area that just made its debut on PokerStars!

The new high-stakes poker room has been designed and endorsed by poker legend Daniel Negreanu, a four-time world poker champion and one of the stars of Team PokerStars. So naturally, the new poker room has been named ‘Daniel’s Room’ for this world-famous professional poker player! But this new room isn't just Daniel's namesake; these are the poker tables where he can be found playing online - and you can join him!

PokerStars is inviting all online poker players to take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to play against Daniel on his very own turf and see just how they stack up against one of the most successful pros in the business! Daniel’s achievements in live tournaments are among the greatest success stories known to the poker world. It started when he was just 23 years old and became the youngest player at the time to win a World Series bracelet when he reigned victorious in the 1998 $2,000 Pot Limit Holdem event. As it turned out, this was just the beginning of Daniel's incredibly successful string of achievements.

At the 2002 World Series of Poker, Daniel scored an impressive second place finish in the $5,000 Omaha Hi/Lo event and then he came back in 2003 to take a second bracelet for finishing first in the $2,000 S.H.O.E. event. Keeping his winning streak rolling, in 2004 he claimed his third bracelet in the $2,000 Limit Holdem event where he walked away with $169,000. Four years later in 2008, Daniel was back at the WSOP to cash multiple times - including earning his fourth bracelet in the $2,000 Limit Holdem event and adding $204,863 to his bankroll.

Last year, Daniel cashed in more events than any other player at the 2009 WSOP. He then followed up that accomplishment by finishing in second place at the WSOPE Main Event, where winning $788,618 put him on the short list for being one of the highest earning poker players of all time. Since that time, his road to success has turned golden with multiple cashes in World Poker Tour events including a win at the Borgata Poker Open for $1,117,400 and the Five Diamond World Poker Classic for $1,770,218. Add several other final table appearances leading to a total of $1,443,013 in prize money and it is easy to see why he is one of the most winning poker players of all time.

If Daniel's impressive winning career doesn't intimidate you, then grab a chair in Daniels Room to play against him and a variety of other well-known high-stakes players. And if you should manage to impress Daniel with your skills and poker savvy, you may just get an invitation to be a part of a future PokerStars TV show!

But even if you're bankroll isn't quite big enough to play in Daniel’s Room, you can still catch all of the action as an observer in the No Limit Holdem games with limits of $20/$40 with a $10 ante, $50/$100 with a $25 ante, and $100/$200 with a $50 ante. Look for Daniel’s Room tables in the PokerStars lobby in the Holdem section listed with a red DR symbol or, use the ‘Show only Daniel’s Room’ option located in the Holdem Ring Game Filter.

Check out Daniel’s Room today for some exclusive high-stakes excitement with Daniel Negreanu at PokerStars!
