The Craziest Last Longer Bet Winners are Headed to Vegas

It’s now official - four very lucky players from UB Poker and Absolute Poker will settle their prop bets at the World Series of Poker tables on July1st in the No Limit Holdem Event #54 tournament. A few months ago, UB and Absolute Poker challenged players to come up with their own ‘Craziest Last Longer Bet’ and the crazy ideas submitted were very interesting to say the least, but ultimately only two winning teams were chosen.

When UB and Absolute Poker set out to find the players with the Craziest Last Longer Bet idea; imaginative poker players who believed that they could last longer than their friend in a major World Series of Poker event jumped on the promotion.

To enter, players had to send in videos outlining their bets and the top craziest bets were chosen and put to vote by their online poker playing peers. Those videos receiving the most votes decided which Craziest Last Longer Bet team would win a VIP prize package that included; flights to Vegas, hotel accommodations, and two seats in Event #54 of the 2010 World Series of Poker, to actually play poker to determine the winner and loser.

The crazy winners are UB players ‘MANIMACK’ and’ JUSTIN74’ and Absolute Poker players ‘PROOF1459’ and ‘SHORTSTCK.’ These wild and crazy guys are now on their way to Vegas to play out their bets in the World Series of Poker Event #54, a $1,000 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament that will take place at the Rio on July 1, 2010. And when the dust settles, the losers will then have to perform some outrageous tasks to settle their scores with the winners!

Gregg Mardirosian is known on UB as ‘MANIMACK’ and is the imaginative 31 year-old online poker player who delivered a crazy challenge to his friend Justin ‘JUSTIN74’ Leichter, a 32 year-old poker playing entrepreneur. The Ultimate Bet is that the loser who is ousted from Event #54 the earliest must have the UB logo tattooed on his body, which is permanent enough, but that is the easy part - the losing player must also meet and marry a girl in Vegas before returning home to Florida!

Regarding winning the contest, Mardirosian said, “Thanks for choosing our craziest last longer bet, and thanks to UB for putting the money into my account. I’m excited about flying out to Vegas. I’m excited about the tournament, and I’m really excited about Justin getting married.” He then noted, “I’m a little concerned. Justin stays in practice, and I haven’t been playing poker much lately, but the last few days I’ve been on UB trying to shake the rust off, and I’ve been cashing, so see y’all in Vegas.”

Absolute Poker’s winning team is ‘PROOF1459’ who is actually Michael Arnese, and Tom ‘SHORSTCK’ Lipko. These two have apparently been poker rivals for quite some time and neither can wait to battle it out at the World Series of Poker to see who can best who. Both players are from Carbondale, Pennsylvania, which is a long way from Vegas and distance was a key fact in their bet, because the losing player has to walk home from Las Vegas in less than a week! And if the loser fails to make it home on foot by the deadline, he will have to pay out the cost of the $1,000 entry to the winner of the bet.

No matter which player wins or loses, the outcome will prove most interesting, to see if the losers will follow through and get married or start walking to make good on their end of the bets!
