Full Tilt Fever: Many Ways to Win at FTOPS XVII

The 17th running of the Full Tilt Online Poker Series kicked off on August 4, and of the twelve days of exciting online poker already underway, there are many ways to win. Not only are there 34 tournaments in which winners will grab one of the most sought-after titles in poker, but there are challenges and even freerolls attached to FTOPS that give players chance after chance to come out on top.

The basics of FTOPS provide numerous ways to win. The 34 tournaments have options for every poker player, as the games range from pot-limit Omaha to no-limit holdem, from mixed games to turbo tournaments. There will even be six Rush Poker tournaments for those who like to play fast and enjoy the rush. Tens of thousands of players will be paid from the $19 million in guarantees as prize pools for the tournaments, final table players will take home limited-edition FTOPS jackets, and winners of the events, in addition to prize money, will also win gold FTOPS jerseys and gold jersey avatars for use on FTP.

Players can also get in on the winning by having an overall great series through the leaderboard challenge. Points are awarded for each finish in a tournament, so even those without a win after FTOPS can sit atop the leaderboard with enough points, and the person with the most points will win several prizes, including a special Full Tilt avatar and entries to all but one of the FTOPS XVIII tournaments later this year. The latter package is worth about $10K alone.

Perhaps the best contest associated with FTOPS is the Satellite Challenge. The basis is simple, and easy, as satellite tournaments for each FTOPS event are held around the clock. Players are challenged to win as many satellites for any one tournament as possible. Winning the first satellite earns that player a seat into the FTOPS event, but an additional satellite earns extra tournament dollars in the amount of the event buy-in added to one’s account for later use in any Full Tilt tournament. And the player who wins the most satellites for any one event wins the tournament dollar equivalent to an additional two buy-ins.

Lastly, there is the Bouncebackability Freeroll. For those who bubble any one of the FTOPS events, they won’t walk away with just a bad beat story but an entry into a freeroll tournament as well. The bubble players will be invited back for the Bouncebackability Freeroll on August 21, where the winner will receive a buy-in to the FTOPS XVIII Main Event later in 2010, which looks to be worth about $640.

So, with the festivities already underway, what are you waiting for? Download Full Tilt Poker now, and don’t forget to use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” to get that 100% bonus on any deposit of up to $600. Then take a chance on any FTOPS tournament of choice, as well as the numerous satellites, some of which are available for only a few dollars.

There is no better time to make a name for yourself in the world of online poker than now, and Full Tilt Poker gives you many chances to do just that.
