All online poker rooms have a Pro Team and sponsored players and when it came time to pick one player they wanted to sponsor, Carbon Poker looked to successful poker pro and ‘American Pie’ actress Shannon Elizabeth. To mark this milestone event, Carbon Poker is celebrating Shannon being their very first sponsored Pro with a whole roster of exciting new promotions!

Because Shannon has joined Carbon Poker as a sponsored pro, you can now find her competing at the tables of all stakes on a regular basis, and grab a seat to compete alongside her. A special Shannon Elizabeth Bounty Tournament having a $500 added prize pool was recently held and because it was a huge success, Carbon Poker promises there will be plenty more Shannon online poker action to come! And to entice players to visit Carbon Poker and see what Shannon is up to, players can take advantage of the special 100% Reload Bonus that is running right now!

Born Shannon Elizabeth Fadal on September 7, 1973 in Houston, Texas, the future beauty moved with her family to Waco, Texas, where during her childhood Shannon took many forms of dance lessons, including tap and ballet. She gained a keen interest in Tennis during High School and at one point even considered going pro. Other high school activities included cheerleading, volleyball, and student council treasurer. Shannon also did some modeling in New York, which took her on modeling assignments in Tokyo, Japan, Milan, and Hong Kong, among other places. After Shannon returned to the USA, she with worked with the Elite Agency and began taking acting classes, gaining a passion for the profession.

Several years ago she was introduced to poker and since then she has been playing in high-profile celebrity tournaments and stepping up to the felt in some of the premier events in the poker world like the World Series of Poker.  At the 2010 WSOP No Limit Hold em Ante Up For Africa event she proved she wasn’t just a pretty face when she took 2nd for $80,737.

Now that she has a new online poker home, Shannon will be contributing to the Carbon Poker Blog on a regular basis and sharing her creative side through a series of videos and poker tutorials for Carbon Poker players.  Proving she has a talent for blogging, on her August 10th Carbon Poker blog posting, she recaps a night of play online. She says she began the evening playing a small cash game table and felt that although skill was involved, that she may have experienced a little beginner’s luck due to the success of her endeavor. Then it was on to three simultaneous tournaments including a double up and she discussed her play in those. Afterwards, she jumped into another cash game table that she said “went pretty well too.” She ends with a brief note that she is heading for Nicaragua to do some work with Feed The Children and promises an update of her adventures there.

Shannon also recently attended the grand opening of the Harrahs Chester poker room on August 6th, 2010 just south of Philadelphia where she headlined the unveiling of the 25-table World Series of Poker Room and then joined in the game play. Be sure to keep an eye out for more news and special promotions that will feature Shannon Elizabeth, the newest addition to Carbon’s Pro team.  Join her at the Carbon Poker tables today where you can easily recognize her player nickname of 'shannonelizabeth' along with her lovely photo that serves as her player icon.
