Full Tilt Fever: Get Ready for 34 Events in MiniFTOPS

If it seems like a Full Tilt Online Poker Series just finished, it did. FTOPS XVII wrapped up on August 15 after 34 events and more than $20.5 million in cash awarded to the 61,150 players who participated. But with the completion of FTOPS, it is time for the masses to have an opportunity to play, and MiniFTOPS brings just that with the same exciting tournaments at only 1/10th of the price.

While players of all bankroll levels can satellite in to an FTOPS event, the MiniFTOPS offers buy-ins that are affordable to tens of thousands more players, which means that the satellites are that much more accessible. For as little as fifty cents or 50 player points, tournament players can win their way into tournaments that offer tens of thousands of dollars - even more in some cases - in prize money, amounts that can be life-changing and reform even the most modest bankroll.

MiniFTOPS XVII is on tap to begin on September 8, and the 34 events will run through September 19. Included in the mix will be six Rush Poker tournaments, which is the newest phenomenon in poker and has captured the attention of players around the world who love the fast-paced action, as well as many variations of poker - PLO, mixed games, and stud. And it will all lead up to the Main Event, a $70 + $5 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournament with a whopping $1 million guarantee.

Players will have numerous opportunities to cash in the events, and those who make it to final tables will not only walk away with a financial reward but a limited-edition MiniFTOPS jacket. Winners will receive, in addition to that jacket, a silver personalized jersey. And for the person who has the best overall performance in the series and tops the MiniFTOPS Leaderboard at its conclusion, a solid prize package worth $10,000 will be awarded that will include buy-ins to nearly every one of the events in the next running of FTOPS, which will likely be in November of 2010.

Many will choose to satellite into the events for the aforementioned $.50 or 50 player points, and those players can also participate in the Satellite Challenge. Winning one satellite for a particular event obviously gives the player an entry into the tournament, but a second satellite victory for that same event gets that player a credit of the tournament dollar equivalent deposited in their account for future use. The player who wins the most satellites into any given event will also receive a bonus of two additional buy-ins, and the second place finisher for each event will receive one bonus buy-in. Tournament dollars can be used well beyond MiniFTOPS, even for big weekly events like the Sunday Mulligan or the $750,000 Guarantee.

It is difficult for beginning players to find the best opportunities for online tournaments, as the offerings can seem overwhelming. But MiniFTOPS provides the perfect chance to get involved and get comfortable while competing for significant amounts of money. And they can do it for a very small initial investment. Try a $.50 satellite. Play some cash games and accumulate 50 player points, and use those for a satellite. These events run around the clock and can change the way one views online poker forever.

Download Full Tilt Poker now, and don’t forget to use the bonus code “POKERWORKS” in order to receive a 100% bonus through regular site play. Then locate the MiniFTOPS portion of the lobby and find the opportunity that best suits you. It could just be the opportunity of a lifetime.
