Joseph Cheong's latest victory was a 1st place score at Bellagio's Festa al Lago $5,000 No Limit Holdem event where he took down a prize of $142,635 after winning a second place finish at the European Poker Tour London High Roller Turbo event for $235,951. Joseph Cheong also has a seat locked up at the November Nine table which is coming up fast. Cheong will start the final table on November 6th in third place chip standing with 23,525,000 and already has a guarantee of $811,823 for ninth place money at the World Series of Poker Main Event.
Cheong is 24 years old and celebrating poker in style with his ability to play and conquer as he moves through the high profile fields between him and victory. Along with Cheong's celebration, he realizes his good fortune and is willing to share it with others. Cheong will wear a PokerGives.org patch at the final table and has plans to donate a portion of his winnings to PokerGives.
PokerGives is a way for poker players to contribute to charity and help those that are less fortunate. PokerGives originated from the thought and generosity of Mike Sexton, Linda Johnson, Jan Fisher, and Lisa Tenner. The donations to Poker Gives are distributed to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, Intrepid Fallen heroes, Special Olympics Nevada, and Step by Step Foundation to help the homeless.
Cheong is very optimistic about his chance to win the WSOP Main Event and his record of being the most-successful November Niner during the break (to this point) has to add to his confidence level. Cheong has plans to help others with his prize money, including his family and charity.
