World Poker Tour® Announces a New Series of Events

The World Poker Tour (WPT) just opened another doorway into the game of tournament poker with a variety of accessible buy-ins in a new series of events. A request from players that wanted more accessible buy-ins did not fall on deaf ears hence the WPT’s announcement of a new series of events - branded the WPT Regional Series Events taking place in the United States and the WPT National Series Events in Europe. These events do not qualify the winner for a WPT title, a WPT World Championship buy-in, or for Player of the Year points. Regional and National event partners are carefully chosen by the WPT and ensure players a high quality and professional experience worthy of the WPT name. More branded Regional and National events are expected to be announced throughout 2011.

The first WPT Regional and National events are:

• WPT Regional Series: Florida – Seminole Hard Rock Fall Poker Open at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood Florida from November 19 – 22, 2010 with a $4,750+$250 buy-in

• WPT Regional Series: Indiana – Hollywood Fall Classic at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Indiana from November 20 -21, 2010 with a $1,500+$100 buy-in

• WPT National Series: Paris – EFOP Diamond Championship at Aviation Club de France in Paris, France from February 9 – 15, 2011with a €5000 buy-in
