Poker Plus - Are You Ready to Play Poker Online?

Believe it or not there are poker players who have never played online poker. The reasons they have not made the plunge vary, from fear the software will be hard to figure out all the way to security and cheating concerns.

Personally I know players who flat refuse to play online thinking the whole thing is somehow rigged. And you can bet no one, or nothing, is going to change their minds! But, they all have one thing in common; they are all minutes from a B & M poker room, so they have other options.

For many players however, hopping in the car and joining in a local game is not possible. If you have an hour or two to play in the evenings, driving 50 miles to get to a game won’t work for you, but playing online sure will. But are you ready to start your foray into online poker?

The answer is absolutely YES.

First of all, even if you have never played poker, or played very little, learning to play online won’t cost you anything. Almost every poker site on the internet has free games. When you download and sign-up for an account, go to the poker site’s lobby and look for the free poker games. The site will automatically fund your play money account with chips, usually 2,000. Sites like PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker have free poker games of every poker variety that they offer in cash game format.

Games like No Limit Hold’em, Omaha, 2-7 Triple Draw, and HORSE can be intimidating to learn, but by learning for free at the play money tables, you can learn the games without paying the piper.

Once you feel comfortable on the site and maneuvering the software, enter the many Freeroll tournaments the poker sites have to offer. These tournaments are almost always No-Limit Hold’em, not only are these freerolls a great learning tool but they can pay cash prizes too! By playing in freerolls, you can build a bankroll for absolutely no investment, perfect for the player who is not ready to make a cash deposit at an online poker site.

Playing poker online is easy, fun and can be free, making it perfect for the rookie as well as the professional. Whether you have poker experience from playing in brick & mortar poker rooms or you have only played with your buddies on Friday nights, you will find your niche playing online. The only games you won’t find online are the wild card games you may be used to after those Friday night poker games. Poker games online are exactly like ones played in casinos, where the only things wild are the players.

See for yourself what all of the buzz is about. Download some of the poker sites out there and see what they have to offer. You will definitely have fun and you may win some cash too!

Grab a Chair….see you there!
