Seven Deuce = Bad Poker Hand Choice

You really need a refresher course in what playable poker hands are if you're playing 7-2 as a regular hand choice.  Of course you've watched Gus Hansen and Phil Ivey, include Tom 'durrrr' Dwan in that list, take a 9-4 or 8-3 from a variety of table positions and win a pot with them.  But those hands are played by people that have played thousands of hours at levels of poker thought and skill that a lot of us may never get to and while you can do it once in awhile and get away with it, it's not the normal recommended hand choice if you are going to be a winning player over the long run.  Wait...rethink the possibility...take that hand to war at Absolute Poker and you'll get a positive return on your investment if you play your cards right.

Look for 7-2 games if you're up for the fun and insanity when you settle in to play.  Once you take your seat, you must contribute to the side pot, if no one wins the side pot, you won't need to contribute again unless someone wins it.  If you leave the table before it's hit, your contribution is refunded back to your account.  You are not required to play a 7-2 even if it is dealt to you, use your poker knowledge and skill to know when it's time to dump the hand.

The whole poker panorama is played out with position, properly timed raises and bets, knowing when to check and check raise, and knowing when to throw your cards away and wait for better opportunities to claim all the chips at the table.  Included in the panorama is knowing you are taking a bad hand, like 7-2, and fine tuning your play to try and win the hand and SHOW it to your table opponents.  Poker is a game of people played with chips and cards and you are playing the ultimate game when you can manage to pull a 7-2 move off on an opponent without losing the hand or your cool as the excitement winds into high gear.

To win the side pot, you only need to take down a pot with 7-2 at any point of the hand and show the hand to make good on your claim.  Of course you want to show it to let your opponents know that you are capable of making all the right moves with any poker hand.  You won't find this game at any online poker site that isn't part of the Cereus Network - that means it's up and running daily at Absolute Poker.

Make Absolute Poker your poker home and remember to check out all of the great promotions going on there, like the Mini-UBOC6 and UBOC6 that starts soon - satellites running now - and a BadBeat Jackpot that will keep you dreaming of losing with a big hand.
