Do you and your buddies like to get together for a Home Game? Then grab the beer and snacks and head over to PokerStars where you can have that Home Game online!  Don’t worry about gathering the guys and having to play host, now you can set up your Home Game at PokerStars for FREE! You don’t even have to get dressed or fight bad weather to get to a buddies’ house’ you can stay home and play with your poker playing friends? No table to set up, no after game mess to clean up and no beer or snacks to buy when PokerStars is your host!

PokerStars has opened an exciting new room, their new Home Games section which lets players set up their own home games just for their friends.  No matter where your buddies live, either near or far, now you can all meet online to pit your skills against each other without the hassle of anyone having to travel or play host! Got a poker playing buddy in Alaska, one in Dallas and another in New York? Now the miles can’t stop you from getting together for a friendly poker game because you can all play together in your own online Home Game at PokerStars!

As Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu said in a video introduction for the new Home Games, “Nothing like PokerStars Home Games has been offered before and it’s so easy to use. You have so many options when you open up your Poker Club and you can customize it anyway you want, just like you would in a home game with friends.”

All you need is a PokerStars account to get started setting up your own Home Game! Once you have an account, set up your Home Game by going to the PokerStars Lobby and clicking on the ‘Home Games’ tab then click on ‘Create a Poker Club.’ Then just pick a name and enter an invitation code. That makes you the manager for the club and your duties include creating the games lobby, table design and stakes for either tournaments or private tables. Once your own club is created, then it is time to invite all of your buddies to play which is done by e-mailing them the club’s name and the invitation code that you set up. When your friends respond to their invitation, you will need to approve their request to join the club and your Home Game is ready to blast off! And to take all the host pressure off you, after the club is set up, you can assign other members as an ‘Administrator’ so they can also set up games.

And your options don’t stop at game varieties of Holdem, Omaha, HORSE, and even Mixed Games, but you can choose to play with real money or free play chips! Plus, while you are playing, you will all be competing for points, with your own Club Leaderboard for all members to see any time they want. Not to mention PokerStars will keep a whole history of the club’s tournaments along with individual game statistics so players can review them at any time.

The only limits that are set on the PokerStars Home Games are that a player can create only one club and can be a member of up to three clubs and each club can have a maximum of 50 players. And to make it easier for you and your friends to chat, there is no chat moderation so you can say whatever you want in your own language!

The word among online poker players is that this is a welcome option.  Forums poster “TrueMetalMan” on posted, “I think this is so tight! Me and my buddies and I used to have them all the time, but then they just faded out due to where the game was, girlfriends, etc. So, this is super cool because we can get that started again.” And “horne_dawg” over on the TwoPlusTwo forums thinks, “This will bring back a social aspect to online poker. Now, you can set up a game with old friends that have since moved away. It will bring new players online and they may move to the regular tables if none of their friends are online to play. Then, all you sharks can take their money.”

As an added bonus to introduce their new Home Games, PokerStars is giving away seats to a special $100k tourney where the club managers can compete to win the poker trip of a lifetime!

To qualify, just get two real money OR five play money Home Games up-and-running now and on March 6th you and your club members could be playing with Negreanu, Duhamel, and  your choice of  another Team PokerStars Pro in one of four ultimate live settings; Vancouver, Macau, Buenos Aires or EPT Snowfest at the Alpine Palace in Austria!

To further celebrate the launch of Home Games, you can win a member of Team PokerStars Pro that will sit in and play in your regular online game! Plus the pro will bring along a $1,000 stack of cash that will be added to your prize pool! To get in on this exciting deal just create a Poker Club with a minimum of eight members which makes your Poker Club Manager eligible to compete in a weekly FreeRoll final to win a Team PokerStars Pro to join your Home Game!
