The year 2011 has been a great year so far for Full Tilt Poker Pro Erik Seidel. In January alone Seidel has won over US$3.3 million. The 2011 PCA High Roller Event found Erik in a 4th place finish worth US$295K, followed by a 3rd place finish in the AU$100K Aussie Millions tournament last week adding another US$618K to his stack of 2011 cash. And his latest win at the Aussie Millions Super High Roller Event brought in US$2.47 Million (AU$2.5 Million) which puts him third in the all-time career poker tournament money list, only one place below Phil Ivey.
The Aussie Millions $250K Super High Roller is the largest buy-in tournament in poker history to date. When heads-up play began, Sam Tricket - winner of the AU$100K Aussie Millions event earlier in the week - held over 80% of the five million chips on the table. Through a series of double ups Erik managed to maintain the momentum and the chip stacks evened out. Finally Tricket check-raised all-in with when the flop came and Erik quickly called with the top two pair and nothing changed as two blanks came on the turn and river. Erik took home the money and the trophy.
Erik Seidel is a testament to playing the great game of poker with class, he always maintains a winning attitude, in cash and tournament games. Erik has 'stood the test of time' - proven by his recent induction into the Poker Hall of Fame where he beat out a start studded line-up that included fellow Team Full tilt members Tom Dwan, John Juanda, and Phil Ivey. Doyle Brunson presented Erik at the WSOP for the nomination and induction and Doyle's presentation summed up what a great benefit Erik is to the poker world and how deserving he is of all good things that come his way.
You will find Erik playing at Full Tilt Poker where you can learn and play with the pros! And if January is any indication of the Eric’s year ahead in poker, beware!
