Lock Poker continues to be in the news, and their latest announcement is that Eric “Rizen” Lynch has been promoted to Poker Room Manager of the popular site which sits on the Merge Gaming Network.
Lock Poker first came into view when they hosted the Bluff Online Poker Challenge in early 2009. Since that time, the poker room has soared in popularity, in large part due to their open door policy for players from the USA. Looking to increase their exposure on the poker front, they have brought Eric Lynch onboard to manage the Poker Room. According to a Lock Poker press release, Lynch will be charged with “driving all decisions around the product, promotions, and player communication.”
Lynch is one of the more successful veterans of the poker world and has several win notches on his poker belt including; a victory in the PokerStars $1 Million Guaranteed, a UBOC (UB Online Championship) title and a deep run in the 2006 WSOP Main Event where he won $500,000 for 24th place. Well known in poker circles as a nice guy who is very down to earth, Lynch commented on his new position, “I am personally looking forward not only to the opportunity to continue to work with the outstanding Lock Pro team, but also to interact with the Lock players and really explore what we can do to improve on all levels. My dream has been to really get involved in the daily operations and have a serious impact on how things are done. I’m excited to have the opportunity to bring my unique insight as a professional poker player to the table to help Lock continue to innovate.” Lynch will join other Lock Poker pros including; WSOP bracelet winner Jason Young, Lee Childs, Matt “All In At 420” Stout, Brett “gank” Jungblut and Joseph “JOEYTHEB” Brooks.
