Meet the Party Poker Pro Team

What do Mike Sexton, Kara Scott, and Tony G all have in common? Besides all being proven successes at the poker tables, they are all members of the Party Poker Pro team!

Mike Sexton is best known as the host for the very popular World Poker Tour (WPT) live events, but he is just as successful on the tables as behind the scenes. Away from the green felt, Sexton has been a writer for Gambling Times and Card Player magazines which led to him being recognized in 2006 as the top ‘poker ambassador’ at that year’s Card Player Magazine Player of the Year Awards Gala. Although his duties as a Poker Ambassador keep him behind the microphone more often than seated at the poker table, Sexton has managed to win several tournaments, including one World Series of Poker bracelet in 1989. He also has impressively cashed 46 times at WSOP events which helped his total tournament winnings tally to over $3,825,000 as of last year. With a track record like that, it is no wonder that Party Poker is so happy to have the ‘Poker Ambassador’ himself as a spokesman and member of their team.  In 2009 Mike was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. Joining Sexton on team Party Poker is the ‘Bad Boy of Poker’ Antanas Guoga, or as he is more commonly known, Tony G.  Well known as a successful businessman and professional poker player, his first big award in life came early when as a child he was the Rubik's Cube champion of Lithuania. When Tony was 11 years old, his family moved to Melbourne, Australia where he started playing poker at the age of 18. Famous for his frequent intimidation of his opponents with outlandish table talk, poker players who have faced off against him at the tables agree that away from the table, Tony is a very likeable and easygoing guy. In spite of his trash talking reputation, Tony has given away thousands of dollars of his winnings to charity which led to him receiving the Shining World Leadership Award in Melbourne, Australia, in 2008.  Proving he is a force to be reckoned with on the green felt, Tony G has won over $3,000,000 in major tournaments across the globe and cashed 14 times at the WSOP over the years. Tony G has a legion of fans across the globe and they can all keep up with this jet-setting poker player via his Party Poker Blog which is always full of fun facts and tall poker tales. The rose between two thorns on the Party Poker Team is the beautiful Kara Scott.  Born in northern Alberta, Canada, and moving to the United Kingdom in 1999, Scott has been working in the UK media since 2002. Over the years she has been a host of the TV poker shows Poker Night Live, On The Rail, and Sky Poker. Expanding her media resume, Scott has also written for magazines such as Card Player Magazine, Gambling Online Magazine, and UK PokerNews. Her poker accomplishments are many and include winning the celebrity heat of the World Woman's Open in 2007 and going on to win the first main heat and placing 6th in the final. Then as a follow up in 2008, Scott finished in 104th place out of a field of 6,844 players in the World Series of Poker (WSOP) $10,000 buy-in Main Event and also won the PartyPoker Sports Star Challenge. In 2009, Scott made history by being the only woman who cashed in both the 2008 and 2009 WSOP Main Event and the second woman ever to cash in back-to-back Main Events when she finished in 238th place in a field of 6,494 players. Also, in 2009, Scott had an impressive second place finish at the Irish Open winning €312,600 which helped boost her career winnings to over $550,000 by 2010.

In January of 2009, Party Poker took notice of this lovely lady’s accomplishments at the tables and announced that they had signed Kara Scott to join Team Party. Since then she has represented Party Poker at several main events around the world and recounted her adventures via her Twitter account where she is known as @KaraOTR to her legion of fans and followers.
