The whole world has been tuning in and watching the horrible devastation in Japan caused by the terrible earthquake and tsunami. While we watch with sadness as the Japanese people try to dig out and rebuild their lives, most of us wonder how we can help and thanks to Full Tilt Poker, now you can help Japan and enjoy your favorite past time.
Full Tilt Poker is inviting all online poker players to support the nation of Japan and help the millions of people that have been affected by this catastrophe. By joining together, poker players can donate via the ‘Aid to Japan’ tournaments at Full Tilt Poker and provide some much needed assistance to the people of Japan.
Giving to those in need is what it is all about and over the years, poker players the world over have shown time and again that when it comes to helping people whose lives have been devastated, their hearts and bankrolls have been wide open. To help the people of Japan, Full Tilt Poker hosted special ‘Aid to Japan’ tournaments on March 20th and 21st where all entry fees were donated and matched by Full Tilt. But if you missed these charitable events, you can still donate to this worthy cause and you don’t even have to play!
Full Tilt Poker has set up a special 'Donation' Tournaments at 18:30 ET on Sunday, March 27th. These special events are not real tournaments and will not play out, but instead, all buy-ins will be directly deposited to the ‘Aid to Japan’ relief fund. All funds raised in this special Donation tournament will be matched by Full Tilt Poker and donated to the Japanese Red Cross.
To show your charitable side and donate, register for one or all three of the Full Tilt Poker 'donation' tournaments by setting your Full Tilt Lobby Filters to: Tournaments>All>Holdem>All Types and look for the three Holdem tournaments on March 27th at 18:30. There are three different buy-in (donation) amounts from which to choose; $1.00, $3.30 and $8.70. And to make it easier to donate the amount you can afford, you can use the Multi-Entry option. For example if you want to donate $5, you can use the Multi-Entry option to ‘buy-in’ to the $1 tournament five times.
