Take the Heartland Poker Tour with UB Poker

The Heartland Poker Tour (HPT) is gearing up for the next season of hot poker action and by playing at UB Poker; you could be the lucky online poker player to win the ultimate HPT Event Pass!

What is the HPT and how did it start?

Four years ago the Heartland Poker Tour was the brainchild of long-time friends Greg Lang and Todd Anderson, both Fargo, ND natives. One night while discussing their interest in tournament poker, they were talking about how they wished there were more opportunities to play live tournaments in their area. Rightly surmising that there were probably many poker players out there who felt the same as they did, the seeds were planted and the Heartland Poker Tour sprang to life in February of 2005.

Honing in on the market for tournament poker in the USA heartland, they went a step beyond and also made sure each event would be televised, with each TV show catering to “regular” poker players who couldn’t afford nose bleed buy-ins. In October of 2005 the first episode of the Heartland Poker Tour aired on stations in Chicago, Minneapolis, Fargo, and Duluth and within a few short months, more and more TV stations had picked up the syndicated show. The show became such a hit that today it airs on over 100 TV stations nationwide and is available in 75 Million U.S. households as the tournaments play out in a wide area reaching from Colorado and Nevada to Oklahoma, Iowa, Florida, and Minnesota.

Thousands of poker players have been flocking to HPT events that are built around affordable qualifiers that feed the main event, which means 80% of the players in the main events get their seat by winning one of the popular online qualifiers. And now, there is an all-new FreeRoll challenge you can get in that celebrates the recent announcement of the UB and HPT partnership! And what a celebration it is, because the Grand Prize Main Event winner will be awarded a multi-event pass for a total of 12 HPT live tournaments of his or her choice across Season 7 and 8!

So how do you get your HPT seat? recently joined Heartland Poker Tour's Season 7.  Starting on April 11th, will host four daily FreeRolls every day except Sundays that will run every three hours from 3PM until midnight. Finish in the top 50 places in any of these daily Turbo events and you will have a seat in a weekly semi-final that kicks off on Sundays at 13:00 ET! The top 100 players in each weekly semi-final will receive an automatic entry into the Grand Prize Main Event on Saturday, June 25th at 14:30 ET to play for a HPT 12-Event Pass! Weekly semi-final winners will also receive a poker controller and special branded T-shirt as an extra bonus!

If you don’t have your UB Poker account yet, now you have $20,000 worth of reasons to get one here on PokerWorks so you can take your twelve shots at grabbing a piece of some serious prize money and basking in the limelight of  Heartland Poker Tour TV poker fame!
