Tired of Holdem?

What if Omaha - high or high/low is not your game?  You don't like 7 card stud games either. Then you're ready to give PokerWorks' Strategy section a whirl and tap into our Badugi Section.  We're continually adding new Badugi articles and already have a nice start on ones that will help you conquer the game if you're not an old pro. Badugi is in our Poker Variant Section and once we're finished loading up Badugi strategy for you, we'll be adding all those games you always wanted to learn but could never find.

Cashouts are Available at PokerStars

Clicking on the 'cashier' button at PokerStars sends out a popup of farewell for awhile to those residing in the US: Forced Cashout “Please note: Due to government regulations you have to cashout all the funds in your account” The upside to the downside is that any tournament tickets you may have accumulated are converted into the same $ amount and added to your cash balance.  At PokerWorks, we are looking forward to a brighter future for online poker in the US.

Two More Poker Sites Pull out of US

Rumor has it that as of May 1st, 2011, and will say no to 'new' players from the US.  The news is circulating via formal letters that have been sent to their affiliates announcing the decision. The good news is that if you are an existing player, you will still be able to gamble, deposit, and withdraw - but no new accounts will be allowed.

Kate Moulene's Take on Online Poker

"If you are playing the lottery, your odds of winning are about as good as a 65-year-old grandmother becoming the next Miss America!" straight from Kate's article.  Interestingly enough Kate appears to know what she's talking about and the way the US national debt reads right now (as it keeps growing by leaps and bounds) and a few other topics she mentions, Online Poker is one of our biggest OUTS!  If we could only get our politicians to pony up to the table and pay attention.  Come on Obama, get game!

Time is Short - Qualify NOW!

There's a $20,000 Freeroll that should make you jump for joy waiting at Full Tilt Poker on May 1st at 21:00 GMT, all it takes is a Full Tilt Poker account through PokerWorks, a minimum deposit, and 200 Full Tilt Points BEFORE midnight on April 30th.  If you've played the PokerWorks Skills Challenge League, you've already accumulated points, but no matter how you get there, don't let this fantastic opportunity to FREEROLL for part of $20,000 slip past you.

The United States Attorney's Office on Tilt

"The U.S. Attorney's Office is nothing more than a frustrated schoolyard bully throwing a temper tantrum because Full Tilt, Poker Stars, and Absolute Poker wouldn't hand over their lunch money." Read Kevin J. Mahoney's 'U.S. Attorney's Office on Tilt' for a full picture of the UIGEA and the recent indictments of the Big Three - PokerStars, Full Tilt, and Absolute Poker!
