Bellagio's Card Room Action Isn't Always Poker

MMGG Switches to

Online gaming operator Morris Mohawk Gaming Group (MMGG), licensed through Kahnawake, has dropped their domain license in favor of Bodog Brand says this is part of its expansion strategy, it represents a 'more global domain.' More .com names have been seized and this could give some measure of protection to MMGG if Bodog's .com should meet the fate of others in recent news.

Australia Could Take Action Against PokerStars

If one of PokerStars subsidiaries is found to be in breach of Australia's Interactive Gambling Act, PokerStars could face action from Australian authorities. GP Information Services, owned by Oldford Group (a business entity sought for forfeiture by defendants named in Black Friday indictments), provides marketing services for PokerStars in Australia. Bradley Franzen Pleads Guilty to Internet Gambling Charges

Franzen has been accused of taking part in conspiracies to commit bank fraud and money laundering and helping to disguise internet gambling payments. “I knew that U.S. law prohibits this,” Franzen said. Franzen is reported to be cooperating with prosecutors since he could face as long as 30 years in prison but he can seek a shorter sentence under this cooperation agreement.  Franzen will also forfeit money he earned in the scheme.

Doyle Brunson Escapes One Step Ahead of the Feds

It's almost uncanny, (perhaps the same technique he uses when he's facing off at the poker table in a high limit game to make the right lay down, raise the pot, or just call), how he stepped away from DoylesRoom saying he was no longer associated with the web site that carries his image and asked them to stop using his name.
