In case you missed them in our daily News Flash, here's the rewind for your reading pleasure:

WSOP Grudge Matches

While the poker world is reeling about Phil Ivey boycotting the WSOP and suing Tiltware and Tiltware firing back with a statement on Ivey's lawsuit, the Grudge Matches are more than noteworthy poker in real time with real people. Gary Wise has a great run down of the matches with some history and statements from the players and while you're waiting to watch it all unfold live on, go take a read.

WSOP Grudge Match; Chan Beats Hellmuth

The 1989 WSOP main event found two-time defending world champion Johnny Chan pushing to make it a three-peat when he ran into Phil Hellmuth. "If any single superlative describes what often happens at the WSOP, it’s the word 'unpredictable.'  The unpredictable happened.  The unthinkable happened.  David defeated Goliath." The cards turned on Tuesday, June 3rd, in the Rematch when Chan took out Hellmuth with a pair of eights and won the Grudge Match.

James Bord Left his Manners at Home

It's amazing how many times poker players get out of line with dealers and other players when things aren't going their way.  It's also amazing how poker players believe that whatever they say is supposed to be kept quiet and privileged.  Perhaps if James Bord didn't want to come across as 'out line,' he should've picked a secluded place to go off on John Juanda!  And what was he accusing Juanda of?  A Full Tilt player pay-out issue? Time may tell!

WSOP Grudge Match 2; Moneymaker Sends Farha Home

Chris Moneymaker and Sam Farha agreed to play the best of three matches; 1) They started with the same chipstacks they had eight years ago. 2) The chip stacks were reversed. 3) Dead even in chips. It went to three matches where Moneymaker pulled a magic card out on the river to deny Farha revenge. Moneymaker J-2, Farha J-10, the flop J-2-10, and the Card Fairy dusted Farha off with a deuce on the river.
