Zynga Poker and AT&T Announce Partnership

The social gaming giant Zynga will bring customized games and content to AT&T's customers. Zynga will be able to tap into an additional user base for mobile - a big strategy for the gaming company and be able to promote its brand outside of Facebook. Class Action Complaint filed Against Full Tilt Poker

The same day the LA Times ran an article that Full Tilt Poker had been sold to a group of European investors, a class action complaint was filed in the U.S. District Court South District of New York against Full Tilt Poker.  The complaint demands the return of player's funds and for subsequent damages purported to be more than $150 million.  Read more...

Will Players Need a License to Play Online Poker?

Some experts believe a licensing system would address several issues concerning the debate about online poker.  If internet players were required to get a poker license, it would verify a player's age, help uncover cheaters, make sure tax records were accurate, and give players the opportunity to limit how much they play or lose. A license could be the key element of the campaign to legalize online poker in the US.

Ladies WSOP Event Finds Jonathan Epstein in the Field With 14 Left

One must wonder if a man playing a Ladies Event goes through the gleeful, blushing, giggling euphoria a woman goes through when her emotions have been wrapped in the heat of excitement over the past few days and finally burst when she knows she's taken 1st place and a gold bracelet with pink diamonds. Full Tilt and Alderney in Discussions

An unnamed third party is in early stage discussions with the Alderney Gambling Control Commission (AGCC) concerning the prospective refinancing of Full Tilt Poker.  Full Tilt's license was suspended on June 29th by the AGCC. “The objective of these discussions is to enable the site to re-open to its current and prospective players,” said the AGCC in a statement. Full Tilt's French License Suspended

Full Tilt Poker's gaming license has been suspended by the French regulatory authority in charge of online poker sites and until the matter is resolved, will not be able to operate. Apparently ARJEL has taken issue over the fact that French players haven't been able to access their accounts this week and a meeting is taking place to discuss the downtime of the site.  Read More...
