PokerWorks' Players Enjoyed a $100,000 Online Weekend

If you already play online poker, you have probably surfed, Googled, read, and surfed again to try and find the best online poker sites with the best download bonuses and the best promotions.  GOOD NEWS!  You don't have to go through all of the above or miss out on a great deal just because you didn't know it was there or coming up in the near future. We have the best of everything, easily accessed, waiting for you - especially when you become a PokerWorks' referred player.

We ran three amazing promotions for our readers over the last weekend where our readers and referred players could play for a combined prize pool of just under $100,000 and the total cost to do that was just under $13.  It's hard to put a price on a good time, but this good time paid out! This is what we offered:

GIANT Overlay at Poker770

The PokerNews GIANT took place on Friday the 15th at Poker770. A $2.20 rebuy tournament that had a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000, it was open to everyone and anyone that had a Poker770 account. The event had a huge overlay - as advertised by us - when only 1,272 players entered the tournament.  NoobDomination was the big winner, scoring $6,000 for a first place finish from a $2 rebuy.

The Real Main Event

We hosted the PokerWorks Main Event on PokerStars, on Sunday the 17th, which ran alongside the PokerNews WSOP Live Coverage.  The Main Event was an $11 MTT that had $20,000 added to the prize pool. A prize pool of $68,200 was created when 4,820 players showed up to play and $20,000 was added.

The Main Event was a deep structure that gave players a 30,000 starting stack for an $11 buy-in, and 15 minute levels with starting blinds of 25/50. This baby turned into a 15-hour marathon and the final three decided to chop it down to $7,600 each - first place was $10,377. The overall champion was AirMaoo of the UK but don_robo of the Netherlands ended up with a bit more cash from the deal when he took home $8,085.87.

Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed Satellite Freeroll

On Saturday the 16th, we ran the final Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed Satellite Freeroll where 10 players received $162 tickets to the Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed the 17th. To play in our Freeroll they had to become a PokerWorks' referred player or already be one and deposit $20 into their Bodog Poker account. There were 727 players entered - included in those were the Freeroll winners - and the Top Cashes were: 1st barcs69 ($25,735.80); 2nd I M A King ($14,830.80); 3rd Tsmizzle26 ($9,923.55).

The smart money is on the players and readers that bookmark PokerWorks and check back often; we always have something moving and new promotions in the mix!
