Ongame Launches Android Poker

If you like to play online poker on the go and have an Android phone, there is a new app available that you will love. A new cash poker app was launched by Ongame following their January roll-out of their popular iPhone poker client – so now you can play poker wherever you are!

The iPhone and Android versions are both the same in allowing single-table play but the new product also allows players to pre-select their actions at the table. But unlike the iPhone version, the new Android app is not restricted to players in Austria, France and the UK.

The first online poker room to license the new app and take it live is bwin Poker. If you want to play on the go, you will need a bwin Poker account which you should get here on PokerWorks so you can take advantage of the best bonus deal available – up to $500 free!

Get your account, grab your phone and you can play $3/$6, $5/$5 and $5/$10 No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Limit Holdem wherever you happen to be! Ongame’s head of poker Fredrik Kjell commented to egamingreview that the network’s developers are “constantly keeping an eye on the tablet market” with the potential for multi-tabling in the future and more licensee’s coming on board this fall. He also expressed his confidence that the removal of country restrictions will increase the number of players by saying, “If you like playing poker on your phone you have no real alternative to our product and I can see more people playing with Ongame, particularly now we have the Android client which is open to everyone. It’s not even been submitted to the Android marketplace, it’s more or less global for the environment.”

Kjell also said he believes the app is perfect for the average online poker player, “For me it’s a pure casual player product, primarily because you can only play one table,” he explained, adding that, “We’re looking at a lot of different things right now - for example, we’ve only got cash games at the moment and not tournaments.”  He also thinks that some poker players were likely to opt solely for the Android product, some just for the iPhone product, and others for both.

If you like to take your poker game with you, make sure you have a bwin Poker account, after that all you have to do is download the app on your Android and you are good to go!
