The PokerNews $10,000 PokerStars League is Open to Everyone!

Everyone is welcome and it's still anyone's game. You have to be in it, to win it! Get in the action and start playing for a piece of the $10,000 PokerStars PokerNews League today! After last week's League events "GioPN" took down 21 League Points when he conquered the field. It only took two events for "GioPN" to climb to the top of the leaderboard and "AJEI" sits in second place, tied with "plstrider."

The next event is November 9th at 21:00 EDT (02:00 GMT) and features a free $100 added prize pool with a $3+0.30 No Limit Holdem Heads-up tournament. Don't forget that the PokerNews League is open to all players from all regions and events are played each Wednesday at 21:00 EDT (02:00 BST). And you may be eligible for more than one region.

6:Nov. 16 at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT) — $3+$0.3 NL Full Ring ($100 added)
7:Nov. 23 at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT) — $3+$0.3 NL Turbo ($100 added)
8:Nov. 30 at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT) — $3+$0.3 PL 6-max ($100 added)
9:Dec. 7 at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT) — $3+$0.3 NL Deep Stack Full Ring ($100 added)
10:Dec. 14 at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT) — $3+$0.3 NL Heads-Up ($100 added)

Every time you play in a PokerNews League event you receive one league point just for playing. The biggest share of League points are awarded to the Top 10 players each week.

There's also the *wildcard* tournament. You pick the one you want in advance of the tournament - leave your player ID name and the League event in a comment on PokerWorks Facebook (look for the League event in the posts).

It's much easier to accumulate points than you may imagine, you'll climb right up the leaderboard when you use the *Wild Card* tournament option to earn double league points in the event you choose. You could earn 42 points in one week when you choose your *Wild Card* event and score big! Just go to our Facebook Page and look for the PokerStars League event to leave your information in a comment.

Only the top 27 players on the league leaderboard will earn a seat in the PokerNews League final on December 21st at 21:00 EST (02:00 GMT). The top 18 finishers in the final event will share the $10,000 Final. The following is the breakdown of the payout:

There are seven additional region specific leagues in addition to the $10,000 PokerNews League. Each league is country specific and has the same payout structure listed above - the prize pools vary depending on the region. The Australasian League is open to all players, along with the $10,000 PokerNews League but each of the other leagues is locked to specific countries and will feature the same payout structure as above. But keep in mind there are varying prize pools dependent on the region. Players from each region can play in three PokerNews leagues and some players have the opportunity to cash in on $24,000 of added FREE prize pools! See the following:

Iberian League: The league features a $4,000 prize pool and is locked to players with accounts based in Portugal and Spain.

Western European League: The league features a $9,000 prize pool and is locked to players with accounts based in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Liechtenstein, Austria, and the Netherlands.

Central European League: The league features a $9,000 prize pool and is locked to players with accounts based in Slovenia, Balkans, Czech Republic, and Hungary.

Eastern European League: The league features a $9,000 prize pool and is locked to players with accounts based in Romania, Bulgaria, the Russian Federation, Poland, and Ukraine.

Nordic League: The league features a $4,000 prize pool and is locked to players with accounts based in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

Baltic League: The league features a $9,000 prize pool and is locked to players based in Estonia, Israel, Turkey, Lithuania, and Latvia.

Australasian League: The league features a $5,000 prize pool and is targeted at players with accounts based in Japan, Korea, China, India, and Australia. (This league is also open to everyone.)
