The PartyPoker Premier League Poker Mixed Game Championship took off on Sunday, November 13th and PokerWorks is bringing you the first tournament results fresh off the tables. Last week Party Poker and Matchroom Sport announced the lineup of 12 players to play the event divided into two groups – group A and group B. The $25,000 buy-in event features only the most recognized poker pros including Party Poker team members Tony G and Mike Sexton, Jennifer Tilly, Andrew Feldman, Sorel Mizzi, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Andy Frankenberger and others.
The event which started yesterday is now underway at the Playboy Club London in Mayfair and will run until Tuesday, November 17th rewarding the winner with a cash prize of $100,000. The elite tournament is also televised and broadcast by Sky Sports in the UK and will later be distributed in the rest of the world.
Before the start of the tournament the twelve players were divided into two groups of six. Each table features three heats of different poker variations – No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Hold'em and Pot-Limit Omaha.
The only player from this list who is not yet a member of poker elite is Ben Carpenter who qualified for the tournament online and according to Premier League commentator Jesse May, has a big mouth at the table and the game to back it up.
The tournament consists of three heats of each poker variation giving away points in order to determine the best player at the end of the event – three best players from both groups will advance into the next level. All six players to play the final table will receive a guaranteed cash prize as well as an invitation to the WPT Premier League Poker Main Event in 2012.
These are the final table payouts:
