The CEREUS Network has made the news since the Black Friday indictments on April 15th, 2011!
- Blanca Games on Restructuring Absolute and UB Poker
- UB Poker and Absolute Poker Pros Contracts Terminated
- DOJ and Absolute Poker Agree
- A Plan to Reimburse Players
Unfortunately the latest news is not about solving the reimbursement of player funds or pushing online poker up a notch in security and protection. It's dim and grim news. Panic started among online poker pros that found their personal data from their UB.com player accounts was publicly leaked anonymously on the TwoPlusTwo poker forums; credit card and social security numbers could be compromised putting all UB poker players in jeopardy.
Subject:Poker managed to take a look at the data and it appears that no social security numbers or financial account numbers were released. Concern is still running high amongst poker players.
UB Poker started responding to emails after receiving one sent by The Examiner. The response sent to The Examiner states that UB is aware of the data leak and they are conducting an investigation. The emails also went on to confirm that the information that had been published didn't include players' personal credit card or banking information and if an actual theft of UB and Absolute Poker data occurred, they will do everything possible to bring the criminals to justice.
