October found the conclusion of the 2011 World Series of Poker Europe presented by BarrierePoker.fr but ESPN2 is positioned to air six one-hour episodes on December 18th (this Sunday) from 6 p.m. to midnight EST time. Poker Fans can watch the breath-taking action as it happens on television.
"We continue to be proud of our deep relationship with ESPN to deliver fresh programming to poker fans,” said Ty Stewart, executive director of the WSOP. "As the only European tournament broadcast in the United States, WSOP Europe has become one of the most prestigious events in the world in just a few years time."
Kicking off the presentation is the first episode centered on the Caesars Cup team event. Team Americas - Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu, Jason Mercier, Ben Lamb, and Johnny Chan - take on Team Europe - Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Maxim Lykov, Gus Hansen, Tony G, and Jake Cody - as they try to tie up the score and avenge their loss from the inaugural Caesars Cup in 2009.
The remaining episodes will feature the 2011 WSOP Europe Main Event coverage. The WSOP Europe Main Event carries coverage from the largest WSOPE in history; the event saw 593 players enter the field and play for a prize pool of $7,836,414. A few of the players you can expect to see highlighted on Sunday are Chris Moorman, Jake Cody, Patrik Antonius, Arnaud Mattern, Elio Fox, and Shawn Buchanan.
Norman Chad and Lon McEachern will keep you up-to-date and informed as they call the action.
