Bet24.com expanded its iPhone real money poker games to 14 new countries following right on the heels of PokerStars launching its mobile app in the United Kingdom.
Ongame Network powers Bet24 and had unveiled the iPhone application in Austria, France, and the United Kingdom in December of 2011. As of today the app is available for players in Cyprus, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Greece, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Netherlands, Slovakia, Romania, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Sweden.
“Mobile has been a true success story for us with thousands of downloads since launch," said Bet24.com poker manager Lars Kollind. "I have studied the development carefully since launch and I am proud to say that mobile poker generates growth without cannibalizing on current poker revenues from PC and Mac, we are really glad that the customers like our product and use it on a daily basis.”
Although a real money app is available for Android users, Bet24 research has found that money spent on mobile devices is tilted toward iPhone users. The company released the following statement, "IOS are, financially speaking, still a more important platform than Android among Ongame’s operators."
