The weekend not only saw the start of the 43rd annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas but also saw the two biggest online tournaments return to the PokerStars schedule. After a month long absence due to the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP), the Sunday Million and Sunday Warm-up were on, gathering a total of 10,000 players to the online tables.
It seems that Diego “diegokeep” Cardoso was the man who's been waiting for the Sunday Million's return. He finished in the runner-up position almost two months ago and this time he wasn't willing to settle. Cardoso outplayed “Grindation” in the heads-up match collecting a first place cash prize of almost $200,000. Another big Sunday winner was “orange6” who received $86,000 for topping the PokerStars Sunday Warm-Up ($500K Guaranteed).

In just two months Diego “diegokeep” Cardoso managed to finish in both the runner-up and the top positions in the biggest online poker event. On April 1st Cardoso was very close to collecting his first Sunday Million title but had to step down to “Lurkio77” who rivered a full house and made “diegokeep” suffer a bad beat with a straight on the last hand of the game.
But this time it was all about Cardoso and his title – he started the final table first in chips and finished in the #1 position as well. On his way to the title the Brazilian outlasted a field of almost 7,000 players among which were Team PokerStars Online pros Nacho Barbero, Maxim Lykov, Johnny Lodden, Ana Marquez, Shane "shaniac" Schleger. Kevin "WizardOfAhhs" Thurman, and Henrique Pinho who did the best among the pros finishing in 53rd place for $2,414.
