PokerStars never slows down or sleeps while planning new ways to introduce you to money making adventures and intense action on the virtual felt. Hence, the announcement came down on Monday, the 26th, when PokerStars sent the word out that the wildly popular tournament series, the MicroMillions, will run from July 12th through the 22nd with buy-ins ranging from 11 cents to $22 in 100 tournaments guaranteed to please the recreational and micro-stakes players.
Mark your calendar now and get ready to settle in and jam when the 11-day series starts because it runs around the clock. Big, envy filled tears are running in a raging torrent from USA players...we want to come out and play too! The final event is a $22 MicroMillions Main event and carries a $1 Million guaranteed prize pool where $150,000 is guaranteed to the winner.
Look for all of your favorite poker games in MicroMillions II - including variants - and a big choice of formats like turbos, rebuys, shootouts, knockouts, and big ante events too.
If you played in the first MicroMillions festival, you probably paid attention to the fact that it set a record for having a total of 1,294,883 entrants. And that "Zabaleta1" took down a $140,000 payday (after a three-way deal was made) as the winner of the $22 Main Event after he outran outplayed a field of 54,065 players.
The first MicroMillions Player of the Series leaderboard had Team PokerStars Pro Marcin "Goral" Horecki's name on it and after grinding out the lead, he scooped up a 2013 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure package with a value of $15,000.
"It’s a fantastic series for players of all levels," Horecki said. "Last time I tried to play as many events as possible and it turned out to be a great move for me. The very affordable buy-in levels are perfect for micro-stakes players who dream of winning a huge prize but often don’t have the chance."
