Schedule for 2012-13 WSOP Circuit Announced by World Series of Poker

The ninth season of the 2012-13 WSOP Circuit schedule has been released by the World Series of Poker. The circuit will feature buy-ins that range from $365 to $1,675 and 20 stops across North America.

The Circuit is heading for Canada with a stop at River Rock Casino in Vancouver, British Columbia. New stops that have been added to the 2012-13 season include the Horseshoe Cleveland, Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut, and Harrah’s Cherokee in Cherokee, NC.

“We’re coming off the best year of participation in the history of the WSOP Circuit and the addition of these new markets really brings our vision to life,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart. "We want to have the No. 1 regional tour to go alongside the number one super event in poker. We believe we have the best offering in terms of value and ROI at these stakes and the most exciting championship format."

Beginning August 9th a 12-ring event schedule kicks off at the Horseshoe Bossier City with the highlight of the Main Event on Saturday, August 18th. The World Series of Poker circuit Events are presented by Southern Comfort 100 Proof and each circuit stop concludes with a Main Event championship - $1,675 buy-in - with the option of re-entry for players that bust during Day 1's first flight.

Each WSOP Circuit Main Event winner receives an automatic berth into the Southern Comfort 100 World Series of Poker National Championship. The player at each stop earning the most points during the 12-event gold ring schedule will receive an automatic bid to the National Championship which has been moved to May 21st through the 23rd with the venue set in New Orleans instead of Las Vegas.
