It's always action, action, action in Tony G's corner and today is no different. He's celebrating the opening of the TonyBet betting shop in Estonia by hosting a poker tournament and tossing out a challenge to a former NBA player. TonyBet is the first betting shop - ever - to open in Estonia.
Martin Müürsepp is accepting Tony G's challenge on the felt as well as the basketball court. Müürsepp has the distinction of being the only Estonian who has ever played in the NBA. Selected in the first round of the 1996 NBA draft by the Utah Jazz, Müürsepp was then traded to the Miami Heat. Müürsepp played for the Dallas Mavericks from 1997 to 1998.
It's a fun challenge and one that should bring some laughs since the loser will almost have to "bare" all. First Tony G and Müürsepp will face off on a three-point shooting contest and next will be a heads-up poker match. If one of them loses both challenges, the loser will take a brisk jaunt through Tallinn, Estonia's, Independence Square clad only in their briefs.
Once Tony G beats out Müürsepp (remember, The G has 'Hart and commitment') on the court, a six-max No Limit Hold'em tournament will kick off. Tony G, Müürsepp, and the top four Estonian All-Time Money List leaders, Imre Leibold, Marek Kolk, Raigo Aasmaa, and Henri Kasper, will play the tournament. The tournament is a turbo format where the winner takes all and pockets €1,000. The real goal is the €500 bounty on Tony G's head; bragging rights for life go to the player that claims it.
