Betfair is 2013 Aussie Millions Presenting Partner

January is one of the busiest poker months in the calendar year as more than one big tournament kicks off that draws players from all over the world. The Aussie Millions is one of the show-stoppers that attracts a big crowd and everyone loves the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. The announcement came from the Aussie Millions today that Betfair will be the Presenting Partner of the series.

Betfair’s 2013 sponsorship during the Aussie Millions allows the occupation of a number of premium branding positions including each table of play in the tournament area.

Topping in as the world's largest betting exchange, Betfair's presence in numerous jurisdictions includes Australia, the United States, and the United Kingdom. Betfair supports sporting bodies and racing through the payment of sponsorships and product fees. The crown's media release: "Betfair was first licensed in Australia in 2006. Unlike a traditional bookmaker, Betfair allows its punters to bet against each other by both backing and laying, at odds of their choosing."

Greg Hawkins, Crown’s Chief Executive Officer, said, "We are thrilled to announce that Betfair will be the Presenting Partner of the Aussie Millions Poker Championship in January 2013. The Aussie Millions is Crown’s marquee poker event, and there is terrific alignment between these great, established brands. Sport is an enormous part of Australian culture, and Betfair’s unique betting exchange is a fantastic complement to the Aussie Millions and our poker patrons."

The Aussie Millions longstanding record of hosting the biggest, richest, longest, and prestigious gaming arena in the Southern Hemisphere grows bigger each year and looks to continue the long run in 2013. The massive poker festival kicks off on Thursday, January 17th and runs through Sunday, February 3rd. will record poker history (live reporting) with the coverage focusing on the four marquee events: the AU$10,000 Main Event, AU$100,000 Challenge, AU$250,000 Challenge and AU$25,000 Challenge.
