PokerStars announced the launch of a branded, live poker room on February 21st, 2013 - PokerStars LIVE at the City of Dreams. Macau has picked up growing interest in poker and the boom hit the bulls eye.

“The PokerStars online brand drives more traffic to live poker events than any other,” said Danny McDonagh, PokerStars Director of Live Operations for Asia-Pacific. “Players know that PokerStars is synonymous with integrity and high quality. That makes this collaboration a natural fit because City of Dreams has been at the forefront in providing the most innovative and premium gaming experience that is second to none in Macau."

The main casino floor of the City of Dreams Casino will open the poker room to the Cotai Strip in Macau. The casino is owned and managed by Melco Crown Entertainment with plans to run both tournaments and cash games at 13 permanent tables. Players can expect PokerStars events like the Asia-Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Macau poker festival, the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP), the Macau Poker Cup series and the Macau Millions to headline the marquee at this location.

The City of Dreams Casino is the home of Club Cubic which is the favorite nightlife spot of a lot of the poker players. PokerStars and Macau add up to a great combination of travel and excitement and put the sizzle back in the circuit for those who travel regularly to Macau for PokerStars' events.
