Hark, hark, Nevada online poker players! The big news came out yesterday as reported by the Las Vegas Sun, Station Casinos has been cleared by the Nevada Gaming Commission (NGC) to develop and operate internet poker. Of course the assurance to the NGC was given that no money laundering or underage betting will take place on Station Casinos' platform and that allowed the approval to go through.
The system at Station Casinos is sophisticated enough to be able to detect underage gambling and also to differentiate between bets that are not made in Nevada and those that are; hence the assurance given to NGC by company officials.
Included in the Station Casinos family are: Red Rock Casino, Resort & Spa, Green Valley Ranch, Resort, Casino & Spa, Palace Station Hotel & Casino, Sunset Station Hotel & Casino, Fiesta Henderson, Boulder Station Hotel & Casino, Santa Fe Station Hotel & Casino, Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel, Fiesta Rancho, and Days Inn & Wild Wild West Gambling Hall.
Station Casinos has not partnered with an outside company, like other major casinos have, and is keeping their online poker software in-house and this leans toward company officials believing they will be able to resolve any issues that might happen very quickly.
Station Casinos has the controlling share of Fertitta Interactive LLC - which included the acquisition of Ultimate Gaming. A free online poker platform that launched on Facebook last June — Ultimate Poker — is the first offering from the company. Antonio Esfandiari was signed as Ultimate Poker's brand ambassador earlier this month.
